CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER (CCO) 

The impact of the position:

As CCO you will be the driver for the success of Lux Express Group commercial strategy in the top management team. You will have an opportunity to lead an international team of 17 professionals in sales, marketing, branding and revenue management. Together with your team you are responsible for delivering excellent business results in 7 countries as well as creating long-term growth in our markets through marketing, innovative e-commerce solutions and good customer relationships. You continuously explore the current and potential markets and changing customer needs, and start new initiatives to capitalize business opportunities. 

As the Head of Commercial Division you report directly to the CEO and are responsible for delivering results through the following areas of commercial strategy:

  • Regional & international sales, distribution and marketing policies and strategy
  • Group level brand management
  • Route & market development
  • CRM & loyalty management
  • Pricing & revenue management
  • E-commerce

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Defining suitable processes and structure within Commercial Division, that are needed to achieve the set targets
  • Creating and executing annual strategic and operational plans by giving strong direction and leadership 
  • Creating a culture of success by building and developing a strong team of professionals and leaders
  • Representing the company in internal and external business events, building relations within the business sector and creating a positive image to stakeholders
  • Developing a commercially driven brand and customer experience strategy by taking ownership for the marketing within the organization
  • Taking full responsibility for the revenue management on a group level
  • Defining pricing and sales strategy to achieve long-term profitability and growth
  • Refining messaging and company positioning to ensure we are viewed as the industry leader
  • Aligning marketing efforts closely with sales strategy, operations and team
  • Coordinating long- and mid-term route network development process

Desired work experience and skills: 

We are looking for an experienced leader with sufficient management experience in sales and marketing as well as managing cross border teams. You are an explorer and a curious learner. You do your best work outside the comfort zone in a constantly changing environment. You understand customer behaviour as well as business numbers. You are an analytical thinker with a strategic mind-set, but you also possess creativity and innovativeness. 

  • Entrepreneurial in approach, an achiever who has a proven ability to meet or exceed growth and profitability targets through delivering international commercial strategies in the past
  • Track record of delivering revenue growth through managing an existing customer base and offering new products to deliver greater value
  • Sales and marketing development background
  • Demonstrated the skills of attracting and maintaining high performance in teams
  • Leader who leads by example and is a representative for positive corporate values and culture
  • Energetic and positive, trusted and respected by internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong and proven strategic thinking skills with the ability to think creatively and develop non-traditional solutions to complex business challenges
  • Strong influencer and excellent communicator across all levels of the organization
