Travel stress-free with your bike on the Lux Express bus! With a bicycle ticket, there is always a guaranteed place for a passenger's bicycle.

Travelling on the Tallinn–Tartu route (Lux Express Superior bus):

Bicycles can only be transported between the starting and final stops. Travelling with a bicycle from intermediate stops is not possible;
The bicycle is placed on the bike rack located at the rear of the bus.
bicycle ticket is free;
when changing the ticket then the bicycle ticket will also be added to the new ticket;
the bicycle ticket cannot be canceled separately from the passenger ticket;
a bicycle ticket cannot be added to an existing passenger ticket.
the bicycle ticket can only be returned together with the passenger ticket;
you can book a bicycle ticket when purchasing a travel ticket at the Lux Express website or from Lux Express mobile application;
to travel with a bicycle, it is necessary to book a bicycle ticket;
A maximum of 3 bicycle tickets can be reserved per departure.

If you have a bicycle ticket, you can enter by bicycle at the following stops (in alphabetical order):

Fra Mare, Haapsalu Bus Station, Heltermaa, Iisaku, Jõhvi Bus Station, Kaitseväe (Võru), Kanepi, Kilingi-Nõmme, Kose-Risti 2, Kuivastu (port area), Kuressaare Bus Station, Käina, Kärdla, Liiva, Mustvee, Narva Bus Station, Otepää, Paide Bus Station, Pärnu Coach Station, Rakvere Bus Station, Sillamäe Bus Station, Taebla, Tallinn Coach Station, Tartu Coach Station, Tindimäe parking lot, Valga Bus Station, Viljandi Bus Station, Võru Bus Station.

All stops can be used for traveling by bicycle on international routes to the Baltics and Warsaw, except Warsaw Centralny.

On the Latvian domestic routes, safe bicycle loading and unloading are available ONLY in the territories of the Bus Station: Riga SAO, Saldus AO, Skrundas AO, Liepajas AO, Plavinu AO, Jekabpils AO, Livanu AO, Daugavpils AO.

Bicycles cannot be accommodated on Lux Express Riga Airport shuttle route.

On international routes, a bicycle ticket must also be booked for an electric scooter/bicycle. You don't have to do this when traveling in Estonia.

Due to the limited size of the luggage compartments, a maximum of 3 bicycle spaces can be reserved per domestic trip within Estonia, up to 4 within Latvia, and up to 2 on international routes.
each bus also has bicycle covers to protect both the bicycle as well as other luggage in the luggage compartment;
a bicycle ticket can only be booked for journeys within the European Union;
on international routes, a bicycle ticket must also be booked for an electric scooter/bicycle;
the bicycle ticket can only be returned together with the passenger ticket;

Booking a bicycle ticket

You can book a bicycle ticket for free when purchasing passenger tickets on the Lux Express website. After entering the passenger data, you will be taken to extras, where you activate the box: "reserve free bicycle ticket" and check that the departure date and route name after it are correct. Then make a payment, after which you will receive a bus ticket on the given e-mail address on which is written that you have also booked a bicycle ticket.

Placing a bicycle on the bus

Please make sure that you arrive 15 minutes before the departure of the bus so we could properly pack your bicycle in the luggage. Please help the driver if needed and make sure your bike gets on board the bus.

On domestic routes (excluding the Tallinn–Tartu Lux Express Superior buses) and international routes, for protection during transport, bicycles and other luggage must be packed—together with the help of the driver—into a special bag provided on Lux Express buses.

The front wheel does not normally need to be disassembled, but if the bicycle does not fit in the bag, the front wheel will need to be removed. Also, be prepared to turn the handlebar or lower the seat if necessary. Remove the basket and bicycle bags from the bicycle if they are present.

When travelling on the Tallinn–Tartu route with double-decker Lux Express Superior buses, the bicycle is placed on the rack located at the rear of the bus. The bicycle is not covered and is exposed to weather conditions.

If the passenger has not reserved a bicycle ticket, Lux Express cannot guarantee that the bicycle can be accommodated. In case the bicycle cannot be placed in the luggage compartment or on the rack, the passenger must immediately contact Lux Express customer service and purchase a new passenger and bicycle ticket for the next available departure. The unused ticket will be refunded.

When travelling with an electric scooter or bicycle, please ensure before the trip that the battery is not damaged. Before placing the electric scooter or bicycle on the bus, make sure it is switched off. If the electric scooter or bicycle is muddy or dirty, please clean it before placing it on the bus or use a protective cover.

Non-EU trips

On departures on the routes St. Petersburg - Tallinn and St. Petersburg - Riga bicycles can be transported in the luggage compartment of the bus, but only if there is enough free space. The possibility of accommodating a bicycle in a luggage compartment is decided by the coach driver directly before the departure depending on the situation.

The bicycle intended for carriage must have its front wheel dismantled and both the front wheel and the bicycle must be packed separately. The packed bicycle should not have any sharp protruding parts.

If the passenger has not booked a bicycle ticket, Lux Express cannot guarantee that the bicycle will fit on the bus. If the bicycle does not fit in the luggage compartment, the customer must immediately contact Lux Express customer service and purchase a new passenger and bicycle ticket for the next departure. Unused tickets will be refunded.
