What to do during a health emergency on a coach?

Life is unpredictable, and unfortunately, none of us are completely protected from sudden health emergencies.

That’s why, in collaboration with experts from the Estonian Red Cross, we’ve created video guidelines to help you recognise symptoms and assist fellow passengers experiencing situations such as fainting, seizures, falls, or strokes.

The most important things to remember:

  • If you feel unwell, don’t stay silent - ask your fellow passengers for help.
  • If you notice someone feeling unwell, check on them and offer help if needed.
  • Always inform the bus driver about any health emergencies. The driver can assess the situation and stop the bus if necessary.
  • If the situation is serious, call Emergency Services at 112
  • Remember, everyone’s privacy is important, especially during a difficult situation. Avoid taking photos or videos of others and focus on how you can help.

We extend our gratitude to the Estonian Red Cross, their instructors, and volunteers, whose dedication and support made these valuable videos possible!
