Express is expanding connections from Valmiera to Estonia
Starting from 01.07. Lux Express introduced new departure times from Riga to Tartu and expanded travel options from Valmiera to Narva and Tallinn, providing passengers with greater flexibility and increased connection possibilities.
New departure times from Riga to Tartu are set for 07:30, 12:45, and 18:45, with return trips from Tartu to Riga at 08:15, 11:00, and 18:20. These additions allow passengers to select from multiple daily services that best fit their schedules, offering enhanced flexibility and convenience for both business and leisure travelers.
Moreover, a new daily service now operates from Valmiera to Tartu at 14:35, with two return trips from Tartu to Valmiera at 08:15 and 11:00.
"This year, Valmiera's slogan is "On the Way to Tartu 2024," which is the European Capital of Culture, showcasing the close relationship between the two cities." says Aldis Ķibēns, Head of Baltic Business Development at Lux Express. "By increasing the number of departures that stop in Valmiera, we aim to not only offer an opportunity to explore one of Latvia’s most picturesque cities but also provide convenient transportation for Valmiera residents to Tartu and the rest of Estonia. We believe that our comfortable buses will give people more opportunities to enjoy cultural events in both cities and will promote economic cooperation," Ķibēns added.
With these changes, Lux Express passengers from Valmiera now also have direct travel options to the Ida-Virumaa district towns such as Narva, Jõhvi, and Sillamäe. Additionally, the schedule is adjusted to be more convenient travel to Tallinn via Tartu, with a transfer time of approximately 40 minutes.
All international routes are served by modern "Scania Irizar" buses. All buses have free Wi-Fi and a personal multimedia screen. During the journey, free hot drinks such as coffee, tea, and cocoa are available. The buses also have a toilet, air conditioning, and power outlets for charging devices.
