Lux Express is adding an early Monday morning departure to the Tartu–Tallinn route.

From 1 March, Lux Express will expand its route network with two additional departures between Tartu and Tallinn.

On Monday mornings, the first bus from Tartu to Tallinn will now depart at 05:30, allowing passengers to arrive in the capital by 8:00 a.m. The early departure is primarily aimed at business travellers, commuters and students starting their week in Tallinn. To meet increased travel demand, an additional departure will also be added on Sunday evenings at 20:30 on the Tallinn–Tartu route, offering greater flexibility for those returning from the weekend.

The additional services will operate during the spring season’s peak travel period until the end of May. The services will resume again in the autumn.

Lux Express operates the route with comfortable 56-seat Scania Irizar coaches. All buses are equipped with WiFi and personal multimedia screens. Onboard amenities also include a restroom, air conditioning and power outlets for charging personal devices. Ticket sales are based on dynamic pricing, meaning earlier bookings benefit from lower fares. Lux Express offers discounts of up to 40% for seniors (60+) and children under 16, and 26% for youth up to 26 years.
