Tallinn–Rakvere timetable changes from September 1

From 1 September, the timetable for Lux Express’s Tallinn–Rakvere route will change. The Tallinn–Rakvere service that currently departs at 18:15 will leave one hour earlier, at 17:15. After arriving at Rakvere Bus Station at 18:40, the bus will continue to the Raudteejaam bus stop if a passenger has purchased a ticket to that stop, providing residents of the Kukeküla area with a convenient option to travel closer to home by bus.

The Rakvere–Tallinn bus departs from the Raudteejaam bus stop at 07:05 on weekdays and at 08:05 on weekends and public holidays. The bus will then continue to Rakvere Bus Station, departing for Tallinn at the current times: 07:20 on weekdays and 08:20 on weekends and public holidays.

On the Tallinn–Rakvere route, one bus in each direction will stop at the Raudteejaam bus stop. All other Tallinn–Rakvere departures will start and end at Rakvere Bus Station.

From September, Lux Express buses will continue to depart from Rakvere to Tallinn at 07:20 (Mon–Fri), 08:20 (Sat–Sun), 12:30, 16:00 and 20:00. Buses from Tallinn to Rakvere will depart at 08:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 17:15.

Lux Express operates the route with comfortable 56-seat Scania Irizar coaches. All buses are equipped with Wi-Fi and personal media screens. They also feature a toilet, air conditioning and power outlets for charging personal devices. Dynamic pricing is used for ticket sales, meaning passengers who book earlier benefit from lower fares. Lux Express offers discounts of up to 40% for seniors aged 60 and over and children up to the age of 16, while young people up to the age of 26 can receive discounts of up to 26%.

Tickets can be purchased online via luxexpress.eu or tpilet.ee, as well as at bus stations and, if necessary, from the bus driver. Passengers travelling from Rakvere to Tallinn and wishing to depart from the Raudteejaam bus stop should select “Raudteejaam (Rakvere)” as their departure point when purchasing a ticket online.
