Lux Express adds an additional departure on the Narva–Tartu–Valga route

Starting from January 16, it will be additionally possible to travel on the Narva–Jõhvi–Tartu–Valga route and in the opposite direction with Lux Express’s international bus service. Departure times on other Riga–Valga–Tartu–Narva routes have also changed.

  • Lux Express now departs from Narva to Tartu four times a day: at 8:00, 10:00, 14:40, and 17:30. Two of these departures - at 8:00 and 14:40 -continue from Tartu to Valga and Riga.

  • From Tartu toward Narva, buses depart daily at 11:05, 13:00, 15:30, and 17:45.

  • From Riga, departures to Valga, Tartu, and Narva are at 7:00 and 13:15, and from Tartu to Riga the departures remain at 11:10 and 17:30.

“Starting from January 16, on our Riga–Valga–Tartu–Jõhvi–Narva route it will also be possible to purchase tickets between domestic Estonian stops, which makes it possible to add a fourth daily departure between Narva and Tartu—something passengers have wanted for a long time,” said Ingmar Roos, CEO of the Lux Express Group. “As a result of adding this extra service, we have spread out the departure times of existing trips so they are more evenly distributed throughout the day. From Narva toward Tartu there are now two afternoon departures, allowing more people to travel from Ida-Viru County stops toward Tartu. From Tartu toward Narva, the earliest departure is now at 11:05 and the latest at 17:45,” Roos explained.

Lux Express operates the route with comfortable 56-seat Scania Irizar buses. All buses are equipped with Wi-Fi and personal media screens, and free hot coffee drinks are available throughout the journey. The buses also have a toilet, air conditioning, and power outlets for charging devices. Ticket sales use dynamic pricing, meaning earlier buyers receive lower prices. Lux Express offers travel discounts for seniors aged 60 and over, children up to 16 years of age, and young people up to 26 years old. Discount rates differ between domestic Estonian routes and international routes.

Tickets can be purchased online at luxexpress.eu or via tpilet.ee, as well as at bus stations and, if necessary, directly from the bus driver.
