Narva–Jõhvi–Tartu Timetable Changes from September 1

26.08.2026

From 1 September, the timetable for Lux Express’s Narva–Jõhvi–Tartu bus route will change.

The Narva–Tartu bus that currently departs at 10:00 will depart on weekdays from Narva at 06:00, Jõhvi at 07:00 and Mustvee at 08:05, arriving in Tartu by 09:00. On Saturdays and Sundays, the bus will continue to depart from Narva at the current time of 10:00.

“Following the closure of routes operated by another bus company, the option to travel by bus from the towns of Ida-Viru County and Mustvee to Tartu in the morning disappeared this summer,” said Ingmar Roos, CEO of Lux Express Group. “From 1 September, we are changing the timetable of one of our departures so that, on weekdays, the bus will arrive in Tartu from Ida-Viru and Jõgeva counties by 09:00. This will allow people to get to work, school or, for example, a doctor’s appointment on time,” Roos added.

Lux Express buses run from Ida-Viru County to Tartu four times a day. On weekdays, buses depart from Narva at 06:00, 08:00, 15:40 and 17:30, and from Jõhvi at 07:00, 09:00, 16:30 and 18:30. On Saturdays and Sundays, buses depart from Narva at 08:00, 10:00, 15:40 and 17:30, and from Jõhvi at 09:00, 11:00, 16:30 and 18:30.

Lux Express operates the route with comfortable 56-seat Scania Irizar coaches. All buses are equipped with Wi-Fi and personal media screens. The buses also have a toilet, air conditioning and power outlets for charging personal devices. Dynamic pricing is used for ticket sales, meaning passengers who book earlier benefit from lower fares. Lux Express offers discounts of up to 40% for seniors aged 60 and over and children up to the age of 16, while young people up to the age of 26 can receive discounts of up to 26%.

Tickets can be purchased online at luxexpress.eu or via tpilet.ee, as well as at bus stations and, if necessary, directly from the bus driver.
