Lux Express introduces Latvia’s first long-distance bus ticket machines at Riga and Liepāja bus stations.

"The introduction of ticket machines in Latvia, especially in Liepāja, was a very important step for further development, considering the  growth of the Liepāja–Riga route, the high passenger demand, and the fact that Lux Express did not have its own ticket counter at the Liepāja bus station," said Aldis Ķibēns, Board Member of Lux Express Latvia.

With the implementation of these self-service ticket machines, purchasing tickets has become more convenient and faster for passengers. Moreover, the new machines offer more favorable ticket prices compared to purchasing from the bus station cashier.

All Lux Express discounts are available at the ticket machines, including those for seniors, youth, and other eligible groups. Payments can be made using credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

"We designed the ticket purchasing process to be quick and simple, with no additional service fees. While the ticket machines provide an excellent option for instant ticket purchases, passengers can also buy tickets up to 90 days in advance, offering greater flexibility in travel planning," emphasized the Lux Express Latvia Board Member.

With this innovation, Lux Express once again reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality services and improving travel opportunities in Latvia.

Earlier reports indicated that in less than eight months last year, Lux Express transported more than 200,000 passengers on domestic routes in Latvia. From May to the end of the year, the company carried more than 10,000 foreign visitors on domestic trips to Liepāja and Daugavpils. The highest number of tourists came from Estonia, followed by Germans and travelers from other countries.
