Lux Express is the major supporter of the Pärnu Music Festival
The XIV Pärnu Music Festival, taking place from July 9th to 19th, has signed a cooperation agreement with Lux Express, making the bus company the major supporter of the festival for the next three years. The festival welcomes the start of this new collaboration with an expanded program and puts on sale additional concerts and extra tickets for sold-out concerts.
"Starting today, a limited number of extra tickets are available for the most popular concerts of the Pärnu Music Festival – the four concerts of Paavo Järvi and the Estonian Festival Orchestra featuring top soloists Kirill Gerstein (piano), Alisa Weilerstein (cello), Ksenija Sidorova (accordion), and Hans Christian Aavik (violin). The concert 'Nordic Swans' by Kristjan Järvi and BSP was so hopelessly sold out that we decided to offer this experience again with an additional concert. We also enhanced our program with a children's concert at Ammende Villa, where we invite preschool-aged children and their parents to explore music and instruments together," introduced the program enhancements by Kristjan Hallik, the main organizer of the festival.
"The festival this year promises to be traditionally extensive and will fill the summer capital with music for ten days. Maestro Neeme Järvi, Paavo Järvi, and Kristjan Järvi will be present, along with world-class soloists, large orchestras, and smaller chamber ensembles – altogether over 200 musicians on stage in various lineups, and we are expecting an audience of over 10,000," said Hallik.
"In light of all this, we are strengthened by an expanding lineup of partners. We have signed a contract with Lux Express, who will support the festival for the next three years," continued Hallik.
"Our aim is not only to provide a high-quality travel experience but also to support the local cultural scene by bringing together one of the most important music events of the year and a quality transportation service. Pärnu is one of our main destinations, where we see great interest among both domestic and international travelers," said the representative of the festival's major supporter, Lux Express's business manager Ingmar Roos.
The Pärnu Music Festival starts on July 9th with pre-concerts in Tallinn and at the Arvo Pärt Center, where the Järvi Academy Sinfonietta and the ambitious and international Järvi Academy conducting course will meet the audience for the first time.
From July 10th to 19th, the festival will bring a large community of musicians and music lovers to Pärnu for ten days. Concerts will take place every evening at the highly acclaimed Pärnu Concert Hall.
Lux Express and the Pärnu Music Festival have reached an agreement whereby the bus company will operate special evening buses on the Tallinn-Pärnu-Tallinn route from July 10th to 19th. The last bus from Pärnu to Tallinn will depart around 11 p.m., taking into account the needs of concertgoers.
Lux Express's special buses to the Pärnu Music Festival will depart daily from July 10th to 19th from the city center of Tallinn, next to the Estonia Theatre, to the parking lot of the Pärnu Concert Hall. The special buses will also start their journey back to Tallinn daily around 11 p.m. or when the concert ends. Tickets for these buses can be purchased piletikeskus.ee.
You can also experience what happens on the stage of the Pärnu Concert Hall worldwide through Pärnu Music Festival TV. Additionally, all concerts of the Pärnu Music Festival will be broadcasted by Klassikaraadio.
The Pärnu Music Festival is one of the most well-known international classical music festivals in Estonia, combining the Järvi Academy, workshops for young musicians, a high-level concert program, and the Estonian Festival Orchestra under the leadership of Paavo Järvi, which has toured prestigious concert halls across Europe and performed at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. The orchestra performs annually for its local audience in Pärnu at the Pärnu Music Festival. For more information, visit www.parnumusicfestival.ee.
