Lux Express is intensifying the international departure schedule

Trips will be added to departures from and to Riga, Vilnius and St. Petersburg.

Lux Express will significantly improve its international departure schedule in June – the Tallinn-Vilnius and Tartu-Riga direct routes will be restored and the number of trips to St. Petersburg will double, which is why it is now possible to travel to Russia on a daily basis.

According to Rait Remmel, Head of International Business at Lux Express, the company predicts that thanks to the COVID digital certificate, which will be introduced in all EU member states from the 1st of July, the number of passengers in the Baltics will increase significantly and therefore encourage people to travel more actively.

"We will increase the number of trips in stages – from the 18th of June, in addition to the two existing trips, there will be a third daily departure between Tallinn and Riga, and from the 28th of June, four more daily departures. On the same date, we will reopen the connection between Tartu and Riga and additional trips between Riga and Vilnius will be added," Remmel specified.

Remmel added that the bicycle ticket launched on the Estonian market at the beginning of June as a new service has proved to be very popular and it was decided to extend the free bicycle ticket to the Baltic countries as well. It expands on-site mobility and offers passengers a convenient combination of bus and bicycle for summer trips. Currently, a bicycle ticket can only be purchased together with a regular ticket on the Lux Express website luxexpress.eu.

From the 20th of June, based on strong demand, the number of departures from Tallinn and St. Petersburg will also change from the previous eight departures per week to fourteen departures. So that there are two departures in both directions every day: from Tallinn at 07:00 and 15:45 and from St. Petersburg at 07:30 and 17:15.

From the 1st of July, Lux Express will also open the Vilnius-Warsaw route. The bus leaves Vilnius at 22:30 and Warsaw at 20:00.
