New additional stops on Latvian domestic routes
Lux Express continues to improve travel options across Latvia by introducing new stops on its Riga–Daugavpils and Riga–Liepāja routes, making intercity travel even more accessible.
As of 14. March passengers traveling between Riga and Daugavpils will benefit from four new stops: Pilskalne, Subates pagrieziens, Aknīste, and Jēkabpils – Kurzemes iela. Meanwhile, the Riga–Liepāja route will now include a new stop at Saulesdruvas in Liepaja. Additionally, adjustments have been made to the existing bus schedules in Pļaviņas, Jēkabils coach station and Līvāni.
Aldis Ķibēns, Member of the Board at Lux Express, emphasized: "Lux Express aims to provide a pleasant and comfortable travel experience not only for people in large cities but also in regional areas. We have introduced new stops based on passenger feedback, and from now on, many more people will be able to reach Riga using our comfortable buses instead of personal cars."
The new stops have been introduced to improve accessibility – residents of Pilskalne, Aknīste, and Subate will now have a more direct and convenient connection to Riga and Daugavpils. Furthermore, the route through Aknīste will reduce travel time by 35 minutes. The new stop in Jēkabpils, on Kurzemes Street, will provide an additional boarding option in the western part of the city. A detailed timetable can be found on luxexpress.lv or in the mobile app.
On the Riga–Liepāja route, the new Saulesdruvas stop ensures a more convenient travel experience for passengers in the surrounding area with departures to Riga at 06:04, 07:04, 08:04, 09:04, 11:49, 13:34, 14:49, 16:04, 17:34, 19:04.
All trips on the Riga–Liepāja and Liepāja–Daugavpils routes are operated with Irizar i6s Efficient buses, manufactured in 2023, offering one of the highest levels of comfort in the industry. Additionally, all buses are equipped with toilets, Wi-Fi, media screens with content available in Latvian, and free hot beverages.
