Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, bus passenger traffic in the Baltic States in April this year increased fifteenfold compared to previous year, according to Lux Express. In response to increased demand for travel, Lux Express is increasing the number of departures from Vilnius to Warsaw and Riga, the capitals of neighboring countries.

From May 7, there will be four daily departures on the Vilnius-Warsaw route, two each from Vilnius to Warsaw and Warsaw to Vilnius. Already from end of April Lux Express offers ten daily departures between Vilnius and Riga, five in each direction. One pair of departures from those directly connects Vilnius with Tallinn. Additionally, there are 18 departures on the Tallinn-Riga route, nine in each direction. Between Tartu and Riga there are two daily departures, one each from Tartu to Riga and Riga to Tartu. 

"We have already carried more passengers than in 2021 and 2020. Lux Express foreign departures increased fivefold in April this year compared to April 2021, when strict limitations were in place, and carried 15 times more passengers than the same period last year. By increasing the number of trips, we have recruited more drivers in Lithuania and Estonia," comments Rait Remmel, Head of Lux Express' International Business.

A free bicycle ticket service is available on all routes between the Baltic cities and Warsaw, ensuring that the bicycle will fit on the bus. Up to four bikes can be taken on each journey, and places can be reserved during booking on luxexpress.eu Bicycles and other luggage are protected by special covers on each Lux Express bus. 

Lux Express offers a variety of discounts on international routes, including a 26% discount for young people under the age of twenty-six, an 80% discount for children under the age of seven, a 40% discount for children under the age of sixteen, and a 10% discount for passengers over the age of sixty.
