From February 3, a service fee of 1 euro will apply to the purchase of a zero ticket
From February 3, a € 1 service fee will be added when purchasing a zero ticket from the Lux Express website, from the official Lux Express mobile application and from the Lux Express customer service by phone.
"With this step, we hope to reduce the possibility of misuse the service, i.e. with a regular ticket to buy a free seat next to you for the bag or just for convenience," said Ingmar Roos, the business manager of Lux Express Estonia. "We realize that this may be annoying for some passengers, but it would also be annoying if a passenger got left behind bus because someone has maliciously bought zero tickets for the trip without anyone actually sitting in those seats," Roos explained.
The zero ticket service fee is also applied in the Tpilet environment, which mediates tickets for long-distance bus lines.
Zero tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver or at the bus station ticket offices free of charge.
