Tallinn–Narva schedule changes from January 16

Starting from January 16, several changes will be made to Lux Express’s Tallinn–Narva line departure times.

• The bus that previously departed at 8:15 on the Tallinn–Rakvere–Jõhvi–Sillamäe–Narva route will now leave 15 minutes earlier, at 8:00 in the morning.

• The Narva–Tallinn bus that previously departed at 17:30 will be moved 30 minutes later and will now depart Narva at 18:00. This service will no longer stop in Kohtla-Järve; instead, a stop in Rakvere has been added at 20:00. According to the new timetable, this will be the latest departure from Rakvere to Tallinn.

• The 19:30 Narva–Tallinn bus will no longer stop in Rakvere, but will instead stop in Kohtla-Järve at Virumaa Kolledž at 20:42 and Apteek at 20:45.

“For travel from Rakvere to Tallinn, the previous last departure time will move 1 hour and 30 minutes earlier. In 2025, the former late departure was used on average by 4.7 passengers per trip, which is very low for a 56-seat bus. We believe the new 20:00 departure will better suit more passengers. Previously, the last bus from Kohtla-Järve to Tallinn departed at 18:45, but we received a lot of feedback requesting a later departure. Starting from January 16, the last bus from Kohtla-Järve to Tallinn will depart at 20:45,” said Ingmar Roos, CEO of Lux Express Group.

“This year, Lux Express ordered 10 new Scania Irizar i6 Efficient buses for its fleet. Once they arrive in Estonia, we plan to open at least two additional departures between Narva and Tallinn in the coming months,” Roos added.

Starting from January 16, Lux Express buses from Tallinn to Narva will depart at
6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:30 (Fri, Sat, Sun), 11:30, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 (Fri, Sun), and 21:00.

Departures from Narva to Tallinn will be at
5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 9:00, 10:30, 11:30, 12:45 (Mon, Sat), 14:00, 15:15 (Fri, Sat, Sun), 16:00, 18:00, and 19:30.
