Traveling with minors

Estonia domestic routes

 

Traveling on Estonia domestic routes, minor (0-7 years included) must have an attendant. Minor who is at least 8 years old can travel without attendant/parents, in case child parents are aware of child location and child have the opportunity to contact with parents. The legal guardian is responsible for the minor child! On Estonia domestic routes the minor attendant can b his/her at least 10 years old family member or at least 18 years old attendant (not a family member).

When planning a trip for a minor, please take into account the Child Protection Act, which states that minors under 16 years of age may not be present in public places unaccompanied at 23:00-06:00 (01.06-31.08 is valid from 24:00 to 05:00).

The company is not responsible for leaving the minor at the right bus stop!

For a minor who travels alone, the company recommends to take in written form parents contacts with him/her.

Latvian domestic routes


For traveling on domestic routes in Latvia, a minor under the age of 7 (inclusive) must be accompanied. The minors accompanying person must be at least 13 years old. A minor who is at least 8 years old can travel unaccompanied/parents, and the child's parents are informed of the child's location and the child has the opportunity to contact the parents.


For minors traveling alone, the company recommends providing parents' contacts in document format.

 

International routes

 

A person aged 0-11 (incl.) can travel abroad only with the accompanying person (parent, at least 18 years old attendant).

Due to the countries of origin and destination, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the border crossing with minors before the trip. The legal guardian is responsible for the minor child!

The attendant must have a minor child parent´s permission for travel. The format of the permission (letter/document prepared by a notary) depends on origin/destination country requirements. If only one parent is traveling and his/her surname is different from minor´s, it is advisable to include an extract from the population register (in English) or a copy of the birth certificate.

Unaccompanied can travel from the age of 12 years old. When traveling alone, the child must definitely have the consent of the parents to travel (together with the contact details of the parent(s)). For a minor child who travels alone, the company recommends to take in written form parents contacts with him/her.

The minor must have a valid travel Document valid travel ticket. When planning a trip for a minor, please take into account the Child Protection Act, which states that minors under 16 years of age may not be present in public places unaccompanied at 23:00-06:00 (01.06-31.08 is valid from 24:00 to 05:00).

When minors travel abroad from Russia, in addition to the passport, notarized consent from the parent is required, indicating the period of departure from Russia and listing the countries he/she is going to visit.

 

Example of the permission (acceptable only in EU, not in Russia!)
