Discounts

Lux Express offers various discounts on its domestic and international routes. Specific discounts for each route and departure are visible during the booking process.

On Lux Express Estonian domestic routes following discounts are valid:

Domestic route discounts:

  • Child up to 16 years (incl.) — average up to -40%*

  • Youth up to 26 years (incl.) — average up to -26%*

  • Senior over 60 years (incl.) — average up to -40%*

  • Pet ticket — average up to -40%*

*Discounts apply to standard class tickets.

According to §34 of the Public Transport Act of the Republic of Estonia, the following passengers are entitled to a discounted ticket:

  • Preschool-age child (child up to 7 years old, incl.) **

  • Child with a disability up to 16 years old **

  • Person aged 16 or older with a severe disability **

  • Person with a severe or profound visual impairment and their companion **

** The ticket is free of charge; however, a service fee of 1€ applies when purchased through electronic pre-sale channels, making the total price 1€. Tickets purchased at bus station ticket offices or from the bus driver are free of charge. Discounts apply to standard class tickets.

NB! Different ticket sales points (bus stations, agents, online platforms) may apply varying service fees to bus tickets. Ticket prices in pre-sale channels and those purchased directly from the driver may differ.

  • Child up to 16 years (incl.) — average up to -40%*

  • Youth up to 26 years (incl.) — average up to -26%*

  • Senior over 60 years (incl.) — average up to -40%*

  • Pet ticket — average up to -40%*

Different price lists for Travel tickets sold on the Internet, at customer service offices and/or in the coach.

NB! Purchasing a ticket from Tallinn bus station or by calling to Lux Express customer service phone number, a service fee will be added to the ticket price. Service fee will not be added to tickets bought from the Lux Express website.

Necessary documents proving the discount:

If the ticket has been purchased with a discount, the passenger must prove the right to the selected discount. Otherwise, the passenger must pay the price difference between the full price of the correct discount and the purchased discount ticket.

For this purpose, the passenger submits a document certifying the discount:

  • Children discount up to 16 y. (incl.): ID card or student card (date of birth with year or personal identification number must be visible)

  • Youth discount up to 26 y. (incl.): ID card or student card (date of birth with year or personal identification number must be visible)

  • Senior discount (over 60 y. (incl.): ID card

  • Disabled child up to 16 years old: disabled person's card issued by the Social Insurance Board (the card is valid together with an identity document (including, for example, a student card)). NB! Not valid on international routes

  • Severely disabled person aged 16 or older: disabled person's card issued by the Social Insurance Board (the card is valid together with an identity document (including, for example, a student card)) NB! Not valid on international routes

  • A person with severe or profound visual impairment and his companion: card of a person with a disability issued by the Social Insurance Board (the card is valid together with an identity document (including, for example, a student card)). A person with severe or profound visual impairment must prove. NB! Not valid on international routes

  • Pet ticket: no proof is required, but the animal must be properly caged or transported in a pet carrier/bag. NB! Not valid on international routes

NB! All documents must be physically present. A photo on a phone or a photocopy is not acceptable.

NB! When buying a ticket on the LuxExpress.eu website, the prices of discount tickets are rounded to the nearest 0.10 euros. When buying a ticket from the bus driver, the prices of discounted tickets are rounded to the nearest 0.50 euros for faster and easier billing.
