Black Nights films on the coaches of Lux Express

The Black Nights Film Festival, which begins this week, will present world class art films to coach travellers. The most popular festival films from previous years will be made available to travellers through the onboard media on Lux Express coaches.

The Festival Director Tiina Lokk was glad that Lux Express supports this year’s festival. “We are delighted that it is easier and more comfortable to enjoy high-quality cinematic art.

We are happy that Lux Express makes its contribution by bringing the highlights of previous years’ festivals to travellers through their onboard touch screen media systems and by providing quality transport to the top guests visiting Estonia to participate in the festival. Usually, we try to lead people to the arts, while this time it is Lux Express that delivers the movies to the people,” said Lokk.

Lux Express CEO Andrus Treier says that cooperation with the Black Nights Film Festival is an important sign of trust for the company. “We are proud to be partners in this ambitious project as the Black Nights Film Festival. The festival shows that there are talented people in Estonia who can catch the attention of the world, and we are glad to make our contribution to the festival this year. There will be at least 30 guests of honour, panel members and film makers in addition to other guests of the event, who will take our coaches to visit the festival,” said Treier.

As this year’s coach partner for the 17-day film festival, the comfortable Lux Express coaches will serve festival guests arriving from Vilnius, Riga and St. Petersburg, and special guests will be transported within Estonia to the festival events in Tallinn and the youth and children’s film festival in Tartu.

Travellers on Lux Express coaches will be able to enjoy world class films while they travel, as the onboard media on the coaches will feature some of the favourite festival films from previous years, such as The Danish Girl (2015), Enough Said (2016), Steve Jobs (2015), Dans La Maison (2012), Ghost Mountaineer (2015) and Only Lovers Left Alive (2014).

The 21st Black Nights Film Festival will begin on 17 November with a formal opening ceremony at the Nordea Concert Hall. Hundreds of films from across the world will be presented over a period of more than two weeks.
